Curriculum Policy
Covenant Christian School (CCS) provides a strong academic foundation to prepare students for higher education and life-long learning.
Course of Instruction
3's: Bible, zoo phonics, technology, fine and gross motor skills, music and movement, art and dramatic play.
4's & Young 5's: Bible, phonetic awareness, pre-writing skills, gross motor skills, technology, art, music and movement, dramatic play, Spanish, and sign language.
Kindergarten: Bible, reading literacy, arithmetic, social studies, science, health and safety, motor skills, art, music, science lab, computer lab, and physical education.
Grades 1- 5: Bible, reading, language arts, math, social studies, science, health and safety, art, music, science lab, computer lab, and physical education.
Grades 6-8: Bible, language arts, science, health, history/social studies, math, algebra, Spanish, art, music, computer lab and physical education.
K-8 Computer Instruction - as appropriate for the age group, instruction will include word processing, web research, layout and design, Power Point presentations, Excel spreadsheets and more.
