We missed you!
On behalf of our CCS School Board, Office Staff, School Staff and Teachers, I pray you had a wonderful summer! I hope you are relaxed, recharged and ready to start a new school year. I am so excited that you are part of our amazing Cougar community. I welcome and value your positive energy and dedication to excellence in education, and we look forward to partnering with you as we educate your amazing children for Christ so that they may make a difference in their generation.
I want to give a shout out to our awesome Summer Blast Staff. Led by Director Ms. Summers, her amazing Assistant Director, Mrs. Teves, and their awesome team. I was so impressed; so, THANK YOU for all you did to keep our summer kiddo’s safe and their days so full of life.
All signs point to another incredible and productive school year. Our skilled and devoted staff is already planning and preparing for your child(ren). Our enthusiastic office team has been registering many new families, ordering needed curriculum and materials, and updating student files. Our hard-working and conscientious Saul and his team have spent the entire summer thoroughly cleaning the facility. And, our much-appreciated Business Manager, Vicki Bright, and our dedicated School Board have been working hard making sure we are good to go.
New Staff – We are delighted to welcome all our new Staff. They bring a solid educational skill set and a sweet, gentle spirit with a sensitive approach to meeting our children’s educational and spiritual needs. We are fortunate to have Mrs. Penksaw (CCS Summer Blast Alum) join us as our new 5th Grade Teacher. We welcome Mrs. Schaffer (2005 CCS Graduate) who will be our new 6th Grade Homeroom and Middle School ELA Teacher. We also welcome Mrs. Goto (Aunt to 2005 CCS Graduate) who will teach Middle School Science and 8th Grade Math. Last, but certainly not least, we are pleased to welcome Mrs. Coulson who will teach Spanish to students in Kindergarten through 8th Grades. I am so excited about our new educators.
We encourage you to read our next blog post about facilities updates due at the end of September.
Thank you to all who are helping prepare for the new school year. Your commitment to ensuring that Covenant Christian remains a celebrated and successful school is awe-inspiring as we enter our 35th year in education. K-8 school begins promptly each day at 8:00 am with attendance, prayer and pledges on the playground. I eagerly look forward to greeting students and families each day.
It remains an honor and privilege to serve as your Principal. Please stop by and say hello. Together, I know we will make this school year one of growth and achievement for all children.
